Gautham Menon is known for making beautiful romantic films and this is brand GM film with all the elements that we expect from his movie. Tad slow yet feel good movie.

Story:

Varun (Nani) and Nithya (Samantha) are childhood friends who fall in love in their teenage. Certain egos and personal goals come between them and their love will be put to test. How they overcome all the hurdles is what this film is about.

Nani is superb as Varun. He is a very natural actor who could easily go into the skin of any character. We have seen him doing energetic and entertaining characters before. This time he plays a soft spoken boy next door who is madly in love. He has come up with winning performance. Samantha is a revelation. She has proven as a fine actress before, but this time she delivers an excellent performance. Her expressions are very good. Krishnudu and the rest of the star cast are good.

Performances:

Music by Ilayaraja is decent. Couple of songs are haunting and background score is nice. Cinematography is beautiful. Editing is okay. Technically the movie is up to the mark.

Director Gautham Menon proves that he has great command over romantic tales. He captures minute details in love and this film is not an exception to it. However he should have mixed right dose of entertainment to make this appeal to all the sections of audiences. For now it is only the movie that will appeal to those who are in love. As a director this may not be Gautham's best, but it is definitely not bad.

Analysis:

Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu doesn't have any story. It is just a journey of a couple who come across different situations in their life. Like every Guatham movie, this also moves at its own pace. It hardly moves at times and gets stuck to one point more than once. That may not go down well with the audiences who hate watching slow romantic films.

Most of the movie is conversational and people who expect punches will be disappointed. Why because the conversations are very natural and personal. So if you are not involved into the film they might seem boring. Music and performance of the lead pair are the main assets for this film which has its moments.

It is a very urbane film with feel good factor which would appeal to young hearts. It depends on your tastes and feelings whether to like it or not. Target audiences should help this film to sail safe at the box office. Will they? Let's wait and watch.

Story

Dorababu (Srikanth), a rich village guy lives life in a happy way enjoying with friends. He tries to impress Swapna (Vidisha), who comes to see his grand father (Ranganath) in the village and the latter reciprocates to him seeing his good nature. In the meantime, (Sivaji Raja) an archaeologist discovers some items belonging to Sri Kirshna Devaraya in Godavari Delta and with the help of Ranganath, tries to investigate further and he trieds to translate a diary which conveys that there is a connection between Dora Babu and Lord Krishna Devaraya? What is this connection and what happens next form the rest of the story.

Performances

Actor Srikanth has tried to convince in the role of Lord Krishna Devaraya while he has done Dora Babu kind of roles earlier. He took care on the diction and dialogue delivery but the script does not help him anyway.

Vidisha is good and glamorous in the film while Meenakshi Dixit is weak in her expressions. Balayya, Sivaji Raja, MS Narayana, Ranganath filled the screen with their notable performances.

Technical Analysis

Chakri’s musical scores fails to please while the background score is loud. Cinematography by Poorna is fine and Nani Krishna’s direction is poor. Screenplay had lots of loophole while the editing is pathetic and dialogues by Veerababu are poor. Production values are okay.

Analysis

Devaraya is based on socio-fantasy story but the plot is poorly scripted and the story never takes off in the first half. It takes off in the second half and then too many songs in the film hinder the flow and the placement is terrible. Logic has gone for a toss big-time and the director needs to be blamed for it. The admirers of Krishna Devaraya might disappoint with the film with the flaws and the illogical proceedings. Choosing a glorious king like Krishna Devaraya and showcasing him with a love affair with a dancer may not gel well with audiences. The climax is very poorly shot.

Final Verdict

It’s hard for Devaraya to sustain at the Box-Office.

Story
B.Tech Babu(Rana) wants to go to US for higher studies and good earning, Rana does some key roles in the dramas with his grandfather(Kota Srinivasa Rao) who is member of Surabhi Drama Company. His grandfather is against to his wish. Babu wants to perform lastly in a drama "Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum" written by his grandfather in Bellary. Devika(Nayanatara) is Tv journalist who comes to Bellary to shoot a documentary on mining mafia. What happens after that? What changes babu and what he learns in his journey is what the movie is about.

Performances
Rana is good and he performed well. His muscular body and expressions overshadowed his performance in crucial scenes, his expressions are hardly visible in emotional scenes. Nayana tara suited to the role of TV Reporter. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Milind Gunaji, Murali Sharma, Posani are okay. L.B.Sriram sparkled once again in a brief role. Brahmanandam delivered poor show. The remaining supporting cast are okay. Music by Manisharma is fantastic. The technical departments Cinematography, Editing score good marks. The Story is good. The screenplay is racy in the second half. The Direction is good in parts.

Analysis
Krish’s much-anticipated follow-up to his ‘Gamyam’ and ‘Vedam’ features Rana Daggubati as B Tech Babu and Nayantara as Devika, a documentary filmmaker. Rana is good, he has given decent performance and in action sequences he is too good. Nayanatara suited to the role. she dubbed her own voice for the first time in Telugu and she is okay. The chemistry between the lead pair is okay. There aren't much scenes to depict that.

Kota Srinivas rao is good, he was restricted to only a couple of scenes. Posani Krishna Murali is good as cab driver and he evokes some laughs. Brahmanandam have been wasted. Raghu babu and Satyam Rajesh are okay in their roles. Murali sharma is okay. Milind Gunaji suited to the role of antagonist. L.B.Sriram once again tops the others in a brief role in the second half. He delivered good performance. Venkatesh-Rana shared silver screen for the first time (though it’s for few minutes) with Sameera Reddy in an item song and the response in the theaters is huge.

Cinematography is okay. Art work and editing are neat. Music by Manisharma is fantastic , he has come up with some soulful tunes supported by good lyrics. Manisharma once again proved that he is best in BGM. The background score is fantastic. Lyrics by Sirivennela and ES Murthy are good. The story is good and has a lot of potential. The screenplay is also engaging in parts but the Direction could have been better. There are some scenes which appeared dragged. The Dialogues are good in most of the places. The dialogues have deep philosophical insight. The dialogues are big asset to the movie.

The director should first decide on which pattern and mode to proceed. The characters and the roles of the protagonist and antagonists are not properly etched. If the movie have been taken in the artistic way it could have turned into a master piece by showing the struggle and pain of the villagers who lost their land, children and food.. The unnecessary inclusion of so called mass elements and the ups and downs in the graph effected the flow of the movie. Some scenes appeared forced and artificial. The personal grudge and the public frustration/anguish weren't well balanced towards the end. Krish failed at places in blending the mass elements to a classical and subtle treatment.

Rana has put a lot of effort and it's evident, He tried his best in the diction of Dialogues in the Drama sequences. All the songs are well picturised. The item song in the Second half is a pop-up. The Climax get-up as Lord Narasimha Swamy in the song just before the climax is very good; for the common mass movie lovers it's hard to bear the typical Drama sequences which may bore them.

The first half is okay(even though nothing much happens) and the second half is just okay(with good climax). Krish should definitely be commended for the effort made to portray the essence of Bhagavad-Gita; the movie has a subtle message and is thought provoking. The movie surely gets good reviews from intellects but it's commercial success solely depends on how it fares at the B,C Centers. How family Audience receive this flick is awaited.

Praveen Sattaru is back with another Love entertainment flick after LBW.

Story -

Sanjay (Sundeep) and Tanvi (Regina) become friends on a condition that the latter should agree to love the former in six months. After six months feelings towards each other changes and what happens to their love story is what this film is about.

Performances -

Sundeep is natural. He is very good in the confrontation scenes with Regina. He is a decent actor with loads of confidence. Regina is the show stealer. She has good looks and can act well. This combination is a rarity in Telugu films. She can go miles if she picks right films. MS Narayana's comedy is okay and Vennela Kishore did a cameo. Tagubothu Ramesh is fine and rest of the star cast played their parts well.

Technical Performance -  

As this is a love story, the colors are vibrant and it has cool locales. Art department and Camera department gelled well. Dialogues are alright and editing is adequate. Technical crew has been led by Mickey J Meyer's music, which is the major asset for this film. Production values are good.

Director did a decent job in ably handling his resources. He has a different style and approach towards film and that is evident in all the scenes. His debut film scores on the content front and this one falls short of expectations, especially for the people that have seen LBW.

Analysis -

Director opened the story in a funny flashback format which is nice. Hero's approach towards love and Heroine's clarity have been explained well. First half races ahead until the interval point and later on it gets stuck for a while.

This is a typical story that doesn't move ahead and fixes to a point and moves back and forth. Dealing with such subjects is a huge risk. Director challenged himself, but couldn't come out with desired results. Last half hour of the film didn't click as the comedy scenes and the climax backfired.

Despite the short comings, Routine Love Story scores due to the freshness in narration and good performances topped by cool musical score. Audiences who love to watch routine films with different approach can watch it. RLS appeals to young audience.

Verdict: Can be watched once

Bus Stop' is the second film of director Maruthi, who came up after his super hit small film ‘Ee Rojullo’. Many thought that he would have come up with more promising stuff with ‘Bus Stand’ winning the hearts of all sets of audience. Let us see how it went.

Story:

This is the story of present day youth. Sreenu (Prince) loves Shailu (Sri Divya) where the latter is a sincere student. Her father pins lots of hopes and faith on her. But eventually her love towards Sreenu goes strong and then the clash starts with father.

Another guy, whose parents live on running a tiffin stall on road side, flirts with several girls and finally even ignores his parents due to his lust. How things turn from then is another track.

The third one is about a girl Seema (Hasika) who is a flirt. A guy loves her truly but she plays with him. But she gets betrayed by another. How situations change from then is another line.

Performances:

There are no big complaints with respect to the performances of any artiste.

Prince did his part well. But he can groom his dialogue delivery and expressions.

Nanditha is good and decent but still she needs to groom herself with respect to make over to get bigger offers.

Hasika who played Seema is the hot lady on screen. She has magnetic looks and can be promising if planned her career properly.

Sai Kumar is asusual with similar character he played in Ee Rojullo but without stammering.

Rao Ramesh is used for his stereo type message giving character. DMK, the journalist turned actor has got considerably lengthy role where he justified fully. Other two fathers are weak in screen presence but performed well.

Music by JB is good and especially the song in the pre climax, “Rekkalochchina prema...ningiki egirindaa...chukkalantina aasaa nelaki origindaa”. The back ground score for the film added lot of pep which made the film happening till the end without drop in pace.

Director repeated his genre with vulgarity, implying that he is comfortable only with it.

Analysis:

The intention is good. But the packaging marred. When a sweet was cooked, there will be no big complaint if more sugar is added to it. But how it becomes if loads of salt is poured in it? It becomes ‘Bus Stop’. The idea to show that parents are ultimate lovers in the world is impressive, but making that with tons of vulgarity makes the dish bitter. 

Have you ever watched Shakeela’s soft porn films? Whatever hasn’t to be shown will be shown and at last gives a color of message orientation. This movie is no less to that genre. This is a store house of soft porn dialogues, incest hints and loads of vulgarity to the core. It is an adult rated movie targeted to lure the youth by satiating their carnal desires verbally. Audiences wonder how the censor board allowed this film to screen. Doubts indeed arise if censor board has gone bias with this film.

Though the film attracts some laughs from vulgarity lovers, the director lost the grip on emotions. No one knows why the father of Shailu objects her love interest Sreenu, who is responsible enough and also in the process of winning a job. DMK’s role (the father of a guy who loses his rings) resembles something like an eccentric character in Vamsi’s films. If there is any originality in this director, that is nothing but ‘vulgarity’. Like Sreenu Vaitla for comedy, VV Vinayak for action, Rajamouli for wonder, we have Maruthi for ‘vulgarity’. That’s proved with this film. If he wishes to continue that image, it’s ok. Otherwise, he needs to change his genre if wishes to correct his image.

This film is abominable. It may collect well at the box office as it plays with the senses of teens. The facts are expressed in this review, and even these facts may attract the youth to drive towards the film. It is no less to any D-grade soft porn film with a coating of regional commercial formula.

Story: Suleman(Vishnu) is son of Rajeswari(Sita) who elopes with a muslim(Suman), which is not liked by his brother Narsimha Naidu(Prabhu). The rivalry between the families increases day by day. Suleman changes his name to Krishna Sastry and goes to his uncle's) house to perform homam. narsimha naidu's daughter (Hansika) falls in love with Krishna sastry. What happens after that. Will both the families unite forms the remaining plot.

Performances: Vishnu improved a lot in terms of comedytiming but he appeared lean and skinny. Hansika is good and glamorous. Brahmanandam is good in the confused role. MS Narayana, Dharmavarapu, AVS, Bharath are okay. Prabhu is good in the role of factionist. Suman, Sita, Surekhavani, Pratibha fitted in their roles. Art work and Cinematography are mediocre, and the editing is okay. The story is not a new one. The Screenplay is also predictable. The Direction is mediocre. The production values are not up to the mark.

Analysis: As publicized this movie is not a sequel to 'Dhee' movie. It's remake of a Malayalam flick Udhayapuram Sultan(1999). A lot of changes have been done to the original content to match our nativity, only the elopement track and the climax plot have been taken.

Vishnu changed his body language to suit to comedy but in a couple of scenes he couldn't match. He should still improve his diction. He is okay in action episodes. Hansika looked chubby and her glamour show attracts masses. She has done her part well. She is a definite plus to the movie. Brahmanandam has become very repetitive in such roles. The remaining cast are okay.

The Music is okay. Yuvan shankar raja has given Peppy numbers. Chakri has given okay music. The songs (Pillandam keka, Pilla Neevalla) are melodious and catchy; the background score is not up to the mark. The picturisation of songs could have been better. They lack richness. Art work is poor( The same set erected for the movie Uu.. Kodathara Vulikkipadatha movie), The whole movie takes place there only. The cinematography has more jerks. Editing is okay. The story line is very old and wafer thin. The story is a mix of earlier hit flicks. The script department Konavenkat, Gopi Mohan, BVS Ravi, Marudhuri raja have succeeded in cooking some comedy episodes.

Director G.Nageswara Reddy mixed up his earlier comedy flicks Seemasastry andSeematapakai and churned out similar scenes and the script writers fitted them in this malayalam script. All the characters behave as we expect. Brahmanandam has done many such characters earlier, it is a repetitive one for him. The Medley song before climax remind us of EVV's flicks. The first half is okay and second half is better.

The movie's fate completely depends on how it's received in B,C centers.

Story: Kenny (Vikram) is a blind man who lives in London and plays piano in a church. Sarah (Amy Jackson) is a British born Indian girl and winner of Miss London title, meets Kenny in a church and develops a soft corner for him. Kenny travels in a cab for which Satya(Santanam) is the diver and kills few people. Veerakathi(Nassar) is the police officer who investigates those murders. Why Kenny does all this? What’s the story behind his silence is what the remaining story is about?

Performances: Vikram has delivered another finest performance. He is very good. Anushka is good and suited well to the role. Jagapathi Babu is good as friend of Vikram. Santanam, Nassar are okay. Lakshmi Rai and Amy Jackson fitted to their roles. Cinematography is topnotch. Music by G.V.Prakash is good. Editing by Antony is okay. The story is simple and the screenplay is predictable. The Direction is good.

Analysis: Vikram has come up with yet another different role. He tried a different character with varied shades. Vikram has done fantastic job both as Sivakumar and blind man Kenny. His body language and performance are of top class. Anushka played the role of wife of Vikram and she has given a very controlled and matured performance. Vikram does not have a lot of dialogues, but his eyes and expressions convey all the emotions. The Love thread between Vikram and Anushka is more like a Maniratnam montage with fewer dialogues. Jagapathi Babu is good in a pivotal role and he delivered the needed output.

Sivathandavam is the dubbed version of Tamil flick THANDAVAM released last week in Tamil. The story is not a new one, its simple - hero taking revenge type but the backdrop and execution is different. Music and background scores composed by GV Prakash Kumar are one of the highlights of the movie. The two melody songs with Anushka are good. The songs are melodious but slowed down the pace of the movie a little bit and appeared as speed breakers.


Santhanam has done a little bit of Comedy as a London taxi driver. He is good as usual with his typical comedy punches. Lakshmi Rai is seen only in a brief role. Art work is good. Cinematography by Nirav Shah is eye pleasing. The action choreography by Manohar Verma is awesome especially the fight scene when blind Vikram is attacked by foreigners in a park was well choreographed. The movie appeared bit lengthy, Antony could have trimmed the length of the movie; a ten minute chopping in the Telugu version could have helped in make it look crisper.

The director AL Vijay earlier directed KIREEDAM, MADRASAPATTINAM, DEIVATHIRUMAGAL(dubbed in Telugu as Nanna). The attempt of the director to mix the concept of human echolocation to a revenge drama is good but the concept could have been explained clearly to appeal to the masses. The screenplay is predictable at times. The movie runs with/around a few characters only. Vikram- Anushka love track was well dealt. It has shades of Ghajini. The concept of blind man performing murders reminds us of RENDU (starring Madhavan, Anushka) movie. There are some scenes which miss the general logic, keep them aside to enjoy the movie more.

The movie is targeted at Multiplex Audience.

Story: Mohini(Poorna) and Harsha(Harshavardhan) get married and they shift to a villa in the outskirts of Hyderabad near gandipet. Harsha’s parents (chalapathi Rao, Rajeswari) come over there to spend few days with them. Strange things start happening in the house after they leave. What are they? And to what consequences they lead to?

Performances: Poorna is fantastic. She performed well in all the scenes. Harsha(Thakita Thakita Fame) is okay as lovable husband. Chalapathi Rao and rajeswari too done decent job. Ravi babu and Jeeva made brief appearances. Art work is good. Cinematography is neat. The Music elevated the scenes well. The Screenplay is good. The Direction is good in few scenes. The movie is made on a shoe-string Budget.

Analysis: Ravi babu is one Director who always experiments with new concepts and themes. He is one Director who doesn’t follow regular format. He takes complete care about his project right from the design, look, taking and Publicity (he has come up with the typical Elephant poster). Ravi always chooses a color pattern for his film, this time he has gone with White color with light sea green and light Grey border. The color grading is good and it gave the complete movie a single tone.

The best part of the film is performance by Poorna. Poorna( who is known to Telugu Audience through Sri Mahalakshmi(Srihari) and Seematapakai(Allari Naresh)) has done very good job. She has put on some weight but suited to the role of a typical newly married house wife. The remaining actors suited to the role and have delivered decent performance. The kid and his grand father (Sharath) thread was dealt well.

This movie is not a horror flick, it’s a simple suspense thriller set within a small family, and there are a couple of scary moments. In the second half there is a bit drag for about 5-10 minutes (where Harsha searches for Poorna- – - calling Mohini…. Mohini…). The abrupt ending also raises many questions among the normal cinegoers. What happens next? Why the Director has stopped here etc; the story is wafer thin. The way movie was opened and the screenplay are interesting. The narration is bit slow with more blank frames.

The film is very good in the technical aspect. The CGI effects are good. The art work is good. Camera work by Reddy is good, Ravi once again experimented with steady and static camera angles, and many shots give the view of entire room/hall visible. Shekar Chandra has shown his mark in background score. The sound effects used are good. Thrillers always look good when they are short and crisp and this movie is 115minute duration and the lack of songs is a big plus (songs could have definitely been speed breakers to the flow).
The movie is targeted at only Multiplex Audiences and it serves the purpose. The movie gives you a feel of watching a Short Film on a Big Screen.

Synopsis:

They soon become thick friends with Abhi (Kaushik) and Nagraj (Sudhakar) and go about their daily life, experiencing small joys.

Youngsters of the B phase block have a long standing rivalry with the arrogant rich kids of the Gold Phase of the Sunshine Colony.. And the rest of the story is the changes that took place in their lives (Including hero) after they come to the colony.  There is also three love stories which bloom there and what happens rest forms the actual story.

Performances:

Amala Akkineni is simply superb in the role of a widow who fights destiny. She looked gorgeous in the opening of the film, and delivered classy performance during the dying moments.Shriya gets a good role but acting with all the young ones made her look older. Anjala Jhaveri gets a next door aunty character on whom people go mad. A very little role.

All the new comers Abhijith, Sudhakar, Kaushik, Shagun and Zara delivered a decent performance and added to the fresh feel needed for the movie.The comedy rendered by Nagaraju (Sudhakar) in Telangana slang was one of the major highlights.

Analysis:

The first half of the movie is a jolly ride. And the problem is with the never ending second half with less lighter moments but yes there are some excellent sentimental scenes more particularly towards the climax. It is unpardonably long and quite a lot could have been chopped off on the editing table. Narration tends to drop off to dangerously boring levels at a number of junctures in the film. Sekhar Kammula's brilliance is seen in many scenes but they are badly knitted such that the feel of the movie is not carried.

Final Say:

The length of the scenes and erroneous screen play will hamper the flow of the film.  A center crowds may take to the theaters because of Sekhar Kammula’s brand name, but B and C center crowds will find it tough to appreciate the movie.  However, for me, the movie was made with a honest intent to touch the hearts of people who are struck with monotonous busy lives. One time watch!

Story: Srinivas(Udayanidhi Stalin) is a happy-go-lucky youth and Bangarraju(santanam) are friends who work for a multiplex in Vizag. Srinivas happens to see Meera(Hansika) at a traffic signal and falls for her charm instantly. He follows her and expresses his love but she is not interested, how he encounters it with his friend and what does he plans to make her fall in love is the remaining story.

Performances: Udayanidhi is okay, he has to concentrate more on his body language and dances if he wants to act in more films. Santanam is at his all time best with good lines. Hansika is beautiful and performed well. Saranaya impresses in her scenes. The remaining cast suited well. Cinematography is good. The art work and editing are okay. Muisc by Harris Jayraj is Average with a couple of catchy numbers. The story is simple, the screenplay is interesting and the direction is good in few scenes.

Analysis: Udayanidhi is okay and represents the present day youth who runs after girls. Udayanidhi (The producer turned actor) who made a cameo in Ghatikudu(Surya, Nayanatara), appears in the end of the film along with K.S.Ravikumar tried his hand as hero also. Hansika is beautiful with chubby looks; she has put on a lot of weight and looked odd in some costumes. Santanam has done a very good job. He has given his all time best with perfect comedy timing. Santanam is the saving grace with witty punch lines. Sunil has dubbed his voice in Telugu version. Initially it appeared that it’s a mismatch but later the timing is so good that you start enjoying. Sunil has done decent job.

Art work and Editing are okay. The cinematography by Balasubramanyam is good. All the frames looked rich. Music by Harrish Jayraj is okay, “Vaddu raa” and “Akila Akila” are foot tapping numbers. The Background score is good. The story of the film is wafer thin. The way it’s narrated is good. There are some repetitive scenes but can be ignored.

The Director Rajesh has come up with yet another film which revolves around love and friendship. All the movies(Siva Manasula Shakti- remade in Telugu as SMS, Boss Engira Bhaskaran- dubbed in Telugu as “Nene Ambani Aru Nelallo”) of Rajesh have common elements, Hero-Heroine have clash in their love thread, hero has a friend who delivers punch dialogues and becomes a fool in the end. Rajesh and Santanam combination rocks once again. Hero-Heroine ego problems have become repetitive in Rajesh films.

Tamil Hero ‘Arya’ and ‘Andrea’ made brief appearances in the climax. The flight scene where Sneha was seen in a cameo was edited in the Telugu version. There are limited characters in the film which may bore you at times. Saranya impresses once again in her scenes. All the scenes of Santanam and Udayanidhi are entertaining. The story narration scene on the stage towards the climax is good. There are many scenes which are predictable and nonsensical but make you sit all through. There is no big story in Ok Ok but the way its packaged entertains you.

The movie is targeted at youth Audience and it may go well if received by them.

Story: Ravi(Allu Arjun) is typical youngster who believes in easy money. His father (Tanikella Bharani) scolds him always for that. Bittu(Sonu Sood) and his gang plans for a bank robbery and Ravi helps police in spoiling their plans. He has a threat from them so he leaves for Hyderabad. Ravi falls in love with Madhu(Ileana). How Ravi escapes from the gang is what the movie is about?

Performances: Allu Arjun is energetic and showed some variation from his previous movies. His typical careless nature with intelligent brains and smart characterization worked well. Ileana is okay. Rajendra Prasad is back with some comedy. Sonu Sood is okay as villain. Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji fitted to their roles well. Kota’s role is limited to a couple of Scenes. Art work is fine. Cinematography is good. Music by Devi Sri prasad is good. The story is wafer thin. The screenplay is okay to certain extent. The Direction is good in few scenes.

Analysis: The film is not new. The story line is very thin. The padding scenes are also weak in terms of drama but the director Trivikram Srinivas’ treatment of the subject is very fresh and innovative. He followed a different (not his original style) pattern in taking the movie forward. Trivikram once again proved that he can insert entertainment (comedy) at any point of the film. The Comedy and dialogues have turned the serious subject into lighter vein entertainer.

Allu Arjun’s energy is rocking and he excelled in comedy timing too. Ileana doesn’t have much to do. Rajendra Prasad is good. Kota Srinivas rao is wasted. Sonu Sood has done yet another baddie role. The remaining cast is okay. Ali, Posani Krishna Murali and Vennela kishore are seen in small cameos. Cinematography is very cool with eye catchy locations. Art work is fine. Editing by Praveen Pudi is decent. The production values are rich. The Screenplay and some scenes are predictable at times. The characterization of Allu Arjun (initially) could have been better [Should have shown that Allu Arjun is addicted to easy money and then his life takes a ‘U turn due to the circumstances]. The Hero-Heroine love/romantic thread is also not satisfactory. Trivikram followed the pattern of “ATHADU” again --- where he opens with a serious incident and then blocking it and reveals the fact in the later half. The bank robbery scenes are highly inspired from Dark Knight (recently we have seen the same in Mr.7 Movie).

Music by Devi Sri Prasad is the biggest asset to the film. The background score is okay. The lyrics are youthful and peppy. The lyrics are catchy even though they are not up to the standards of Trivikram’s previous movies.

All the songs looked good on the screen. The visuals are cool. Allu Arjun danced well, he dances so effortlessly.

Apart from the Dialogues in the trailer there are some good ones which is the core strength of the film. Few of them are

The dialogues of Tanikella bharani in the hospital with Allu Arjun are good.

The plot is loose and logic has gone for a toss many times. In the second half the story and the scenes went wayward and all of a sudden the story shifts from catching the villain to impressing the heroine with a song. The fight sequences also appeared unrealistic at times. In the last half- an- hour Trivikram brought back the movie on to the track and succeeded in building tension and kept up the pace. Trivikram once again ties the Audience to their seats with his magical dialogues and punches.

It has been a long time we have witnessed a Clean ‘U’ certificate movie from top heroes. This film can be enjoyed with whole family. Audience who seek Entertainment and mass elements can enjoy this weekend. The films range depends on how the B,C centers receive this flick.

Story:

Onamalu revolves around a village. Narayana Rao master (Rajendra Prasad) grows as an orphan in a village and completes his education taking help of villagers. And join as a teacher in the same village. His children settle in America and he leaves to America. He does not digest the culture and returns to the same village, He recollects all the sweet memories of his village while travelling from the airport in a car to his place with a view that Village people will have the same old mindsets and they give importance to human relationship But, for a surprise he find people with completely changed mentalities. As Mahatma Gandhi said “India lives in its villages” . How our Narayan Master will enlighten the people? And what all changes he brings in their lives? …is the story.

Performance:

For Rajendra Prasad it is a cake walk, he already proved in earlier films like Aa Naluguru and Mee Sreyobhilashi. He is the obvious choice for the role.Kalyani in wife role does a very good job and they make a fine pair. Raghu Babu is adorable as Erramanzil and credible performances from Chalapati Rao and Siva Parvati.

Technical:

Lyrical beauty adds to the greenery and also describes the pathos and pain the master undergoes. Director Kranti Madhav’s narration exudes sincerity, honesty and sense of purpose. He hasn’t left any lesson untouched, those ignorant can learn a few and the learned ones can go through them once again. The strength of the film is the dialogue writer and the cinematographer. Koti music is pleasant.

Analysis:

Onamaalu is not a movie as much as it is a string of little vignettes – if the first half is about showcasing incidents of goodness in the picture-perfect rural community, the second half is all about how life has “degraded”. It’s all about painting a picture with individual elements in place, with little emphasis on making this a free-flowing story.

While the word ‘commercial cinema’ is order of the day, any poster that has an artiste, dressed as a senior citizen in dhoti and kurta, bespectacled is bound to keep youth away but…give it a thought why Rajendra Prasad and why not someone? Rajendra Prasad must have been an obvious choice after Aa Naluguru and Mee Sreyobhilashi in Onamalu that revolves around a village.The intention of the director is very clear, he shows the ideal village in India where air is pure and people don’t think twice in feeding people. The philosophy behind the thought is simple, just keep feeding and God will ensure you are never short of food.

Synopsis:

Narasimha Rayudu (Bala Krishna), the heir of Gandharva Mahal makes his sister wed Bhoopathi (Sonu Sood) and gives away the half of his wealth and the Gandharva Mahal to them. But Bhoopathi, who is already in love with Amruthavalli (Lakshmi Prasanna), a prostitute’s daughter kill his wife for the former. Narasimha Rayudu tries to stop the cruelty of Bhupathi by killing him as he feels Gandharva Mahal should be respected but in the process he leaves his life. Coming out of the flashback, Prabhu is the son of Narasimha Rayudu, who wants to give away the Gandharva Mahal to his elder daughter’s husband as dowry gift but the issue is Bhoopati’s soul lives in the mahal and causes problems. How do these problems gets solved forms the crux of Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara.

Analysis:

UKUP suffers with slow pace and screenplay. Editing could have been much better especially in the first half. Second half starts off with good pace and the climax episode has shaped up well and it plays crucial in UKUP success. Manoj and Lakshmi Prasanna along with Bala Krishna delivered good performances in the climax episode.Music by Bobo Sashi is pretty average and the choreography is not up to par.

Positives:

Final Say:

First half of the film moves at a slow pace with few boring scenes though manages to create curiosity before the pre-interval block. The pace picks up with Bala Krishna’s entry in the movie. Bala Krishna’s character was the real highlight of the film.The movie is not convincingly narrated. New director had failed to exploit good subject and big star like Balayya. Chances of Box office success are too bleak.

Story

Story takes off with James (Sayaji Shinde) offering blessings at temples, churches and mosques for the wedding of Karthik (Sumanth Ashwin) and Nidhi (Rhea) and the flashback comes in. Karthik is the son of chef Rama Swamy (Prabhu) who is the close buddy of Ravindra Babu (Naga Babu), a Businessman whose only daughter is Nidhi. But Karthik and Nidhi fight for silly reasons and hate each others when kids and the latter flies to America for further studies. After 12 years Karthik, an aspiring dancer and Nidhi meets in Ravindra Babu’s business party and the former falls in love with her. Karthik impresses Rhea without his identity and within no time the duo falls in love. How does the story turn up forms the crux.


Performances

Sumanth Ashwin is confident and is impressive in his dances. His dialogue delivery is good and showcased ease in acting. Sumanth Ashwin will definitely ride high if he chooses the right scripts.

Rhea looked cute and has acted well. Naga Babu and Prabhu are perfect in their roles, Sayaji Shinde is routine, Seetha, Vinod Kumar, Geetha, Paruchuri Venkateshwar Rao, MS Narayana and others did their part as required.

Technical Analysis

MS Raju’s direction is mediocre but the story is outdated and screenplay is highly predictable which lacked interest. S. Gopal Reddy's cinematography is the major saviour of the film. The film looked colorful and rich. Paruchuri Brothers dialogues are routine, Editing could have been better in the second half, Karthika Raja’s music is decent and songs ar colorfully shot while the background score is good. Padmini Arts production values are good.

Analysis

MS Raju has first time wielded the megaphone for the film roping in his son Sumanth Ashwin but the story and script are old fashioned, outdated and pretty routine. Even the screenplay turned out to highly predictable. The film lacks uniqueness and freshness in narration and style. It remembers you of films like Darling and Nuvvosthanante Nenoddhantana. However, Sumanth Ashwin is impressive and his energy levels need a mention. The actor will have a bright future if he chooses the right scripts.

Final Verdict

A clean entertainer but an outdated subject!!!

Story Line: Nani (Nani) is neighbor to Bindu (Samantha), he falls in love with her and she too responds positively but doesn’t express it. Sudeep(Sudeep) is multi- millionaire who runs construction business, and he lusts Bindu. Sudeep comes to know about their affair and kills Nani. Nani, in his rebirth is born as ‘Eega’ (a housefly) and remembers the incident occurred in last birth and how he takes revenge on Sudeep is what the movie is about?

Performances: Nani’s role is limited to a run time of 20minutes. He came up with some good work. Samantha is cute and lovable. Sudeep steals the show with fantastic performance in the negative role. Other than the three characters there are very few notable characters. The visual effects have come out very well. The cinematography is good. Music is hum able. The background score is superb. Considering the special effects part the Direction is good. But overall the movie lacks a gripping and interesting narration. The production values are rich.

Analysis: The most anticipated film of the year 2012, ‘Eega’, is a fantasy film written and directed by Tollywood’s ace director SS Rajamouli. The movie is simultaneously released in Tamil and Malayalam also. The very idea of making the Fly (Eega) as protagonist is unique and interesting. The Execution part could have been better (The way story was told). Janardhan Maharshi assisted Rajamouli in the Telugu script (Dialogues) work and Crazy Mohan in the Tamil script

Nani is good and natural. He is confined to only a few romantic & love scenes with Samantha which came well. The song picturised on them was decent. Samantha suited to the role well. She looked girl next door in those costumes. Sudeep is the show stealer with fabulous acting (It’s difficult to come up with such expressions and acting with no real character around). He impresses well as the bad guy. He evoked some laughs when Eega irritates him.

Rajamouli is weak in comedy department and this movie too has very limited comedy (only the Eega and Sudeep episodes designed in the typical tom and Jerry style) but the movie entertains in the form of Visual effects. The CGI and VFX work is top notch. As Rajamouli said Eega was started as a small-budget experimental film but when it started developing it grew bigger with the budget of quality VFX work. With over 90 minutes of realistic animation and visual effects, the total film costed more than 30crores.

Music has already a couple of chart busters aired on TV. The Background score by Keeravani is very good. He delivered the required output. He usually comes up with very good score in Rajamouli movies and this one is not an exception. The Art work is good. The editing by Kotagiri is fine. Cinematography by Senthil is promising. The film has very limited characters. It bores you in the middle and if you are not connected to the point then it may even irritate you. The locations are also limited and repetitive. The logic has gone for toss many times (since the script is highly fictional & fantasy filled).The narration of the film in the non graphics part is slow and repetitive(point). If you go with the logical issues you will be highly disappointed. So make-up your mind and watch it in a relaxed mood to enjoy more. If you have an interest for animated/cartoonist movies then this movie is for you.

There are some scenes which came up well--- Eega teasing and irritating Sudeep, the scene where Eega reveals that he is Nani, the car accident and interval episode, the Climax. The presence of a Star hero could have helped Rajamouli in pulling up the movie. The Brand name Rajamouli is the force which drags you to the theaters. Rajamouli has definitely taken the Tollywood Industry to the next level with quality effects. It’s up to the masses to decide the collections of this flick at the Box-office. “Eega” is a visual feast which will appeal to the children more.
