Andhra Pradesh High Court has rejected the bail petition of the YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy who was arrested on allegations of amassing disproportionate assets.
The court which heard arguments of both sides, upheld the argument of the CBI that if he was released on bail he might tamper with the evidence. The court said it could not give bail at a time when the investigation has reached a crucial stage. The court has also rejected the assurance of Jagan that he would cooperate with the investigation and would not try to influence the witnesses.
It may be recalled that while senior lawyer and former union minister Ram Jethmalani appeared for Jagan, another legal luminary and former Supreme Court judge Ashok Bhan has argued CBI case.Hyderabad, July 4: The Andhra Pradesh high court Wednesday dismissed the bail petition of YSR Congress Party leader Y.S.
