Ileana has become 'Muduru' now !
Heroines tend to age faster compared to the heroes. This is a male dominated industry and a hero is considered old only when he crosses fifty. But any heroine who is into thirties will be labeled as an 'aunty'. Few heroines lose the sheen much earlier and become less attractive in their late twenties itself. Ileana has been facing such problem now.
Ileana was considered as one of the hot ladies until a couple of years ago. But now she is being criticized for bad looks and weak physique. Ileana didn't even consider pairing up with senior heroes during her hay days. She has vehemently rejected all the offers that came from them. However, she has been pushed to a position where she couldn't restrict herself to few heroes.
Young heroes are not considering Ileana as hot girl anymore. There are so many new faces that are currently hogging the limelight. Hence, Ileana is now thinking to pair up with senior actors as they are finding it tough to get heroines. There is a void that has to filled in and if Ileana decides to romance with the oldies then she is sure to get a handful of offers.
Bolywood Heroine complements to Ram Charan !
Bollywood leading actress Priyanka Chopra spoke for the first time about her upcoming film 'Zanjeer' with Ram Charan. She is playing Cherry's love interest, reprising the role of Jaya Bachchan in this remake.
Claiming to be a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka asserted that she alone will do all the remakes of the Legendary Actor. She acted in the flms 'Don', 'Agneepath' and now in 'Zanjeer' too, all of them are the remakes of Big B superhits. When quizzed about her crackling chemistry with Ram Charan on the sets of Zanjeer, Priyanka clarified that both of them are just friends. She went ahead and gave a compliment for her co-star saying that he is a hardworking guy.
As the film is a Hindi-Telugu bilingual, the lead pair were seen helping each other on the sets with language lessons. Both Charan and Priyanka will dub their voice for the two versions.
Tollywood Hits & Flops in First Half 2012
The First half of 2012 for Tollywood has been with great flying colors.There has been some good times in Tollywood with significant hit films this time.The biggest boost for Tollywood 2012 has been in the form of ‘Gabbar Singh’. This is a registered blockbuster and it is racing towards the second highest grosser with Rs 65 crores share.The film has been declared a unanimous hit from all centers.
Next in the list is ‘Businessman’ which also score a raging success.Arriving as a Sankranthi treat, the film rocked the box office thanks to Mahesh Babu mania and resulted with more than forty crores share. This result came irrespective of the talk on the film.
The same trend was followed by ‘Racha’ which was released in a massive way and being a commercial subject, the masses gave a thumbs up. Despite slamming by critics, the film struck a chord with the common man and it raked in a whopping Rs 45 crores share.
There were two other hits that made their mark in the form of ‘Poola Rangadu’ and ‘Ishq’. These two flicks proved that audience would come not just for star heroes but also for good subject and entertainment filled projects.
Another surprising observation that came to light is, films don’t need a noted face to score a hit. This was proved by two small budget flicks in the form of 'Lovely', ‘Ee Rojullo’ and ‘Oka Romantic Crime Katha’. These films were made targeting the youth and scored success. This will encourage many to experiment with this genre and more films will come.
Of course, not all was happy smiles for the Tollywood folks. There were some massive duds that came in proving that if the subject and content is not good then the result also will not be good. The best example for that is the Ravi Teja- Gunasekhar venture ‘Nippu’. This is the biggest disaster of 2012. Following the suit was Balakrishna who has registered massive duds to his account. He added one more to his kitty by coming up with ‘Adhinayakudu’. There are few other flops but these two are the biggest and sizeable ones.
Same has been the case with the dubbed flicks which come in large numbers. The likes of ‘Snehitudu’ ‘3’ ‘Love Failure’ ‘Dhoni’ were given thumbs down by the audience. In the dubbed market, except for the Hollywood flick ‘Avengers’ none of the others worked. The latest release ‘Sakuni’ opened with decent collections but the talk has not been that strong so it is going a bit dull.
Movies like ‘Bodyguard’ ‘Dammu’ ‘Daruvu’ ‘Endukante Premanta’ took off with a disaster talk but at the end, they managed to come up with some decent figures as collections.

Let us wish that at least half of them shake the box office of Tollywood and create a sensation.

RGV underestimated Pawan's Director !
Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is not the one to mince words. Few months back, an interesting conversation took place between RGV and Pawan's Gabbar Singh director Harish Shankar.
Both RGV and Harish share and great rapport. It was RGV who made him a director with the film 'Shock'. After coming to know that Harish was roped in for Gabbar Singh, RGV scolded the director for taking a risky step of remaking Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg and that to when directing a star like Pawan Kalyan the expectations will reach new heights. Harish Shankar who is basking on the success of Gabbar Singh has revealed this secret in one of his recent interview. In fact, Ramu feared that Harish would land in trouble. But from Day 1, Harish was very confident about the film and delivered his best.
Harish arranged a special screening of Gabbar Singh for RGV after the release of the film. Ramu was in full of praise for the young director who made many changes in the script to suit the taste of the Tollywood audience and for showing Powerstar in the way people love to see him. With Gabbar Singh, Harish Shankar has become one of the most sought after directors in Tollywood. RGV-Harish's episode is a best example to show that we shouldn't underestimate anyone!

Naidu decides Lokesh and Jr NTR role in TDP !
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has taken up a massive exercise for a complete makeover of the party including completion of organizational elections and reactivating the youth and other allied wings.
Though pressure to bring Lokesh into active politics is increasing, Naidu is still unable to decide whether or not to bring his son Lokesh Naidu into active politics. For the present, he wants to give top priority to give a new image to the party by going in for complete makeover by holding organisational elections and revamp the allied wings like the mahila wing, youth wing etc.
In view of this, the party has not yet taken any decision on the date to hold the Mahanadu which had to be postponed due to the by-elections.Meanwhile, with the demand for infusing young blood and to bring in Lokesh and Balakrishna and if possible Junior NTR into active politics, Naidu is learnt to have decided to hold a meeting with his family members on Sunday.
This meeting is likely to discuss the issue of whether or not Lokesh should be asked to enter active politics. The party youth wing, in fact, wants Lokesh to take over it and go round the State to understand the problems of the people. The question before Naidu is how to accommodate Junior NTR in the party, in case Lokesh enters politics.
What is Sonia's Decision on State Politics ?
Congress president Sonia Gandhi has concluded her week-long consultations with leaders of Andhra Pradesh on the twin issues of Telangana and strengthening of the party.
She has during the week met every one who sought her appointment, quite contrary to her style of functioning of keeping people waiting. She has met over 25 leaders including ministers, MPs, MLAs and other leaders during the past week and heard them patiently. She has even jotted down notes herself on the points mentioned by the AP leaders.
The rapt attention with which she heard the views of AP leaders at a time when she was extremely busy with the Presidential polls has shown the importance she was giving to strengthening of the party which is apparently in shambles in Andhra Pradesh.
Consultations started with MPs V Hanumanta Rao and K V P Ramachandra Rao setting the tone during their meeting with the party supremo. Later the Governor ESL Narasimhan also gave a secret report to Sonia Gandhi on his own assessment of the party’s position and the Telangana issue.
Later Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi, Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana, state ministers D L Ravindra Reddy, Raghuveera Reddy, Geeta Reddy, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, C Ramachandraiah, MPs K M Khan, Kotla Surya Prakasha Reddy, Sarve Satyanarayana, Renuka Choudary, Kanumuri Bapiraju, Sarve Satyanarayana, Magunta Srinivasa Reddy, Palvai Govardhan Reddy, Rayapati Sabasva Rao, MLA Sasidhar Reddy, Deputy Speaker Bhatti Vikramarka and several others have met Sonia Gandhi. Some of them have also met Rahul Gandhi, AICC General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and Union Minister Vayilar Ravi also.
Sonia Gandhi has asked all these leaders their views only on two issues. The first is ways to strengthen the party and the second is Telangana.
It is learnt that while there were divergent views on the leadership of Kiran Kumar Reddy, leaders from all the three regions have said that there was need to settle the Telangana issue one way or the other.
As Sonia Gandhi has concluded consultations on AP and started concentrating on other issues, leaders have returned to Hyderabad, leaving her time and peace to think and decide.
Apart from Congress leaders, even the advocates of Telangana like TRS are waiting for Sonia Gandhi to announce her decision, with nerve-shattering suspense.
Jagan's No Support to Royal Telangana !
The YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has opposed the reported proposal of the central government to create Rayala Telangana, with two districts – Anantapur and Kurnool of Rayalaseema and the present Telangana region, minus Khammam district. It is also proposed to make Hyderabad as a Union Territory.
Though Jagan has no way of communicating his view to the media, it is learnt that he told his party men and family members including his mother and party honorary president Vijayamma to strongly oppose the latest proposal.
Jagan’s view have reflected in the statement of YSR Congress leaders MLAs Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Chenna Kesava Reddy and former MLC Mohan Reddy who spoke to the media on Friday evening. They said neither the people of Telangana, nor Rayalaseema were favorable to the proposal. They said if the state was to be divided it should be in difference to the wishes of the people and not to favour some political parties, which have no future.
With Jagan, now a strong force in Rayalaseema taking deciding to oppose the Rayala Telangana proposal, there might be great trouble for the Congress party if the Centre tries to go any farther in the matter.
Chandrababu in Dilemma for Pecedent Elcetion !
Telugu Desam party leadership is still in a dilemma over whom to support in the Presidential polls. Chandrababu recently gave a hint that his party might extend support to UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee, as taking PA Sangma's side will send a wrong impression that TDP will form an alliance with BJP in future.
However, Babu's decision is gaining severe cirticism from the party leaders itself. Some of the senior leaders questioned that how will TDP which is known for it's anti-Congress stand could support the candidate of the rival party. TDP leaders have been criticizing that Jagan colluded with Kiran Kumar Reddy's government and also predicting YSR Congress will be merge with Congress from the past few months. Now, if the same leaders vote for Pranab Mukherjee there is chance of losing credibility.
lthough some of the party leaders proposed the option of staying away from Presidential voting, Chandrababu hasn't shown interest in that idea and he even announced that TDP willn't boycott the polls. The Presidential polls have grown into a big headache for Babu, as which ever candidate TDP support they can't escape from the brickbats.
Lagadapati Supports Chiru !
Andhra octopus Lagadapati started the 'bhajana' of Megastar quite well these days. His illogical linking of the future of Congress party with Chiru's minister post is an extension to his 'bhajana'.
Lagadapti predicted that the troubles of Congress party will come to an end if they give Minister Post to Megastar Chiranjeevi. Is anyone finding any connection between the post and politics in state? 'Had we given Chiru a minister post earlier, we have won more seats in the recent by-polls', says Lagadapati. With many MPs and Ministers seeing the proximity of Chiru getting some 'bigger' role in Congress, they have started flattering him by giving him a 'demi god' status.
Earlier MLA Jogi Ramesh and Minister Raghuveera Reddy have done the same thing by praising Chiru to a max. Looks like, our hero is getting a post in Manmohan Cabinet soon and hence this 'bhajana' by everyone to woo him. But too much of anything will taste bitter, and our Vijayawada MP should put a full stop to it!

Rajamouli's Brand value equal to star heroes !
Normally, only star heroes, who have got lot of craze, have their films released in 1000+ theaters.But a movie with zero star power is releasing in 1200 theaters. And incidentally it is biggest release ever for a movie in Tollywood. Yes, we are taking about Eega and the reason for the big release is the director Rajamouli carries almost the same stardom as any star hero of Tollywood.
Although Nani is the hero of the film, his role is limited in duration. Samantha is the female lead while Kannada hero Sudeep played the villain role in the movie. Cinematography is handled by Senthil, music composed by Keeravani and art direction is handled by Ravindar. This film is being produced by Sai Korrapati. Suresh Babu is presenting the movie.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest movie ‘Gabbar Singh’ had achieved a phenomenal feat. The movie which had been creating wonderful records since the release day. Nithin's Courier Boy Kalyan Muhurath held !
Our readers are aware that Nithin is acting in a film 'Courier boy Kalyan' which will be produced by Gautam Menon.
The muhurtam of the film was held on Firday and the film’s regular shooting will begin soon. The film is a bilingual and the Tamil version has been titled ‘Tamila Selvanum Thaniyara Anjulam’.
Prem Sai who has worked as an assistant director under Prabhu Deva earlier, making his debut as a director with this movie. Music is being scored by Karthik. Santhanam will be playing a key role in the movie.Noted director Gautam Menon is producing this movie.
Eight Music directors for Vikram's David !
Our readers are aware that Vikram is acting in a film titled David.Bejoy Nambiar, the director of David, has roped in eight music directors for the film. The film will feature original soundtracks composed by Prashant Pillai, Anirudh Ravichander, Remo, Modern Mafia and few others.
Vikram is playing the role of a fisherman in this film and Jiiva will be seen as a musician. Both of them are named David, although they live in different locations and in different timeline. The film also has two cinematographers – Rathnavelu and Sejal Shah who’ll be canning the portions of Vikram and Jiiva respectively. Lara Dutta, Tabu, Isha Sharvani and Nasser are playing important roles in the film. Getaway Films and Reliance Entertainment are jointly producing the film.
Ishq to be remade in Tamil !
Ishq is one of the hit films in first half 2012 in Telugu.Jayaprada’s sister’s son, A Rajasekhar, who had earlier directed Vishal, Nayanthara starrer Sathyam, is all set to direct the Tamil remake of Nithin, Nitya Menen starer Ishq.
The makers are trying to rope in Nithya Menen to reprise the female lead role. Vikram Kumar, who directed the Telugu version, is going great guns in Tollywood. He’s all set to direct ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya in a new film tentatively titled Threyam and it’s going to hit the floors later this year.

Ileana losing her Charm ?
The pretty girl has cut down her weight and is attempting for a size zero figure. Due to that, she has lost her entire charm and looks like a sick patient. However, when this criticism came to her during the time of 'Snehitudu', Ileana reportedly mentioned that she has taken the feedback and would be back with a bang.
Forget the bang but Ileana has now come back with more shock. Recently, she was present during the audio release function of 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu' and still she has not done anything about her weight or pretty face. Well, if this continues longer then there is no doubt that Ileana will have to pack her bags.
Boayapati's Film with Ram Charan - 'Ruler'
Ram Charan has given nod for Boyapati Seenu's action entertainer 'Ruler', which was earlier planned with Mahesh Babu in the lead.
Reportedly, Mahesh has turned down the story narrated by Boyapati. Later, the director approached Charan with the same script and the actor, who has high regard for Boyapati's knowledge about mass pulse and his presentation of high voltage action entertainers, has immediately okayed the project. This film will go to the floors after the completion of Charan's films which were in the halfway of the shooting.
Whatever the reasons might be Mahesh Babu missed a superb title and this is surely not a good news for his die-hard fans. On the other hand, Mega fans has got every reason to smile now. For now, it appears 'Mahesh loss is Charan's gain'. But, only the Box Office result of 'Ruler' will decide who has taken the right decision!
Why Cong in Favour of Royal T ?
The Rayalaseema leaders, who revived the proposal for Rayala Telangana state as a solution to the vexed separate statehood demand, are learnt to have explained Sonia Gandhi that there would be immense benefits for the Congress if the proposal gets materialized.
According to their blue print, the Congress would retain its hold on the region subject to the merger of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi with it. There would be 147 MLAs and 21 Lok Sabha seats in the Rayala Telangana region. If it is formed into a separate state, the Congress would be able to get not less than 90-100 seats in the region, even if the TRS is not merged with it. If the merger takes place, the combine would get two-thirds majority.
Similarly, the Congress-TRS combine would get anywhere between 15-17 Lok Sabha seats in the region. Even if the Congress can get five Lok Sabha seats in the rest of the Seemandhra region (assuming that the YSR Congress party gets 15 Lok Sabha seats in the Seemandhra region), it would have a comfortable position in the Lok Sabha. That way, it would be a double benefit to the Congress.
On the other hand, the Rayala Telangana would also help bring down the influence of YSR Congress party and the Telugu Desam Party to only Seemandhra region (Coastal Andhra plus Kadapa and Chittoor), as they would have little presence in the Telangana region. One does not know whether the concept has appealed to party president Sonia Gandhi.
T-cong Leaders Says No to Royal T !
Making it clear that the Telangana Congress leaders will not accept Royala Telangana at any cost, Congress member of Rajya Sabha Palvai Goverdhan Reddy has said that the Congress high command has to clear the Telangana issue first, and then only take up issues like change of Chief Minister and other posts later.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Friday, Palvai has made it clear that AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi had no plans of changing the present Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He made it clear that Sonia Gandhi didn’t discuss this issue with any leader from the State. Change of guard is a mere speculation, he said. Sonia Gandhi was busy with the Presidential elections. He said that the Centre has to create the separate Telangana State with the existing 10 districts only.
Responding to questions on Party’s bye-election debacle, Palvai said that the CBI did a mad thing by arresting YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, prior to the bye-elections. The Party also failed to face Jagan in a fitting manner and hence the party’s debacle.
Palvai has also opined that releasing of Nagarjuna Sagar water to Krishna Delta was not proper as the water in the Reservoir is at dead-storage level.
Decision on Telangana Soon - Chidanmbaram
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that the central government would take a decision on Telangana as soon as possible.
Talking to the media as part of his weekly briefing, he said the Centre has been seriously considering the issue and would take an early decision. He said he has told the same to the public representatives from Telangana. He told the media that all the leaders from Andhra Pradesh, who met him, have been asking for an early solution to the issue.
Chidambaram has assured that there was no need for anyone to be anxious about solution to the issue. He has repeated his oft-repeated rhetoric that Congress and some other parties were yet to state their stand on the statehood issue. Chidambaram however said he could not set a time-frame for the decision.
