Handsome hunk Rana and Sexy Siren Ileana starrer Nenu Naa Rakshasi have hit the screens world-wide today. NNR team has promoted the movie as a unique film with an underlying message to society. Rana and Ileana has pinned high hopes on Nenu Naa Rakshasi as the former has to establish himself in Tollywood with this second film while Ileana has no notable hits in the recent times and she needs a hit badly.

Will Nenu Naa Rakshasi proves Rana as a good actor? Does Ileana put an end to her disasters with NNR? Will Puri Jagannadh score a hit with Nenu Naa Rakshasi? Here is the movie review… Take a look

Story:

Abhimanyu (Rana) is a sharp shooter and turns as a professional killer, who has a dark past. Meenakshi (Ileana) works in a coffee shop but shoots videos of people who commits suicides and uploads them on Youtube. Abhimanyu sees Meenakshi and falls for her in the first sight and then on follows her. What were the duo pasts? Why does Meenakshi shoot and uploads the videos in youtube forms the crux of the story.

Performances:

Rana looked stylish in the role of professional killer and is convincing in the role. Yet, he needs to improve his acting and dance skills and work on his expressions. His performance is good in the fights.

Ileana as usual looked stunning in the movie. After a long time, Ileana has got something to perform and she has done a fine job.

Subba Raju has played a full-length role in the film as a Police officer and he has done a decent job. Abhimanyu Singh is good in the negative role. Ali & Mumaith Khan’s track is irritating and painful to watch. The kid who played Subbaraju’s daughter was good. Nagineedu and Surya are brief.

Technical Aspects:

Music by Viswa and Rehman is mediocre with just four songs. A couple of songs Malli Malli Merupula & Padithinammo are good on-screen. Background score by Anoop Rubens is good and uplifts the mood of the story. Editing by S.S.Rajasekhar is standard. Cinematography by Amol Rathore is alright and nothing much special. Dialogs written by Puri are worth a mention but the major drawback of the film is with its script and the screenplay though it has an appealing storyline.

Analysis:

Nenu Naa Rakshasi is developed from a new point that Suicide is not the permanent solution to the temporary problems in life. The basic idea of Puri Jagannath is good with a new thought but the movie failed totally in its execution by diluting the subject with the side tracks The first half of the movie is good with the twists and twirls but the slow narration and the horrible climax in the second half made the movie a painful watch. Puri failed in conveying the message to the audience at the end.

Final Verdict:

Give it a try…
