Ranga The Donga - Movie Review

Film: Ranga The Donga
Starring: Srikanth, Vimala Raman
Director: G.V.Sudhakar Naidu
Producer: Golden Lion Films & God Father Films
Banner: Lakshmi Ganapathi Films
Music: Chakri
Rating: 1.5/5

Story:
Ranga (Srikanth) along with his gang spends their lives as thieves stealing from the corrupt Police Officers. Likewise, he falls in love with inspector Mangamma (vimala). Apart from being a thief, Ranga has a passion towards factionism. He loves everything about factionists and loves watching faction cinema. Life takes a new turn when he meets a real faction leader Bhavani Prasad (Srikanth again). Who is Bhavani Prasad? What is the link between Ranga and Bhavani Prasad forms the rest of the story.

Performances :
Srikanth made a decent performance throughout but few scenes between him and Vimala Raman brings us the feel of over-action.
Vimala Raman is okay and did not have much role to perform. But, the actress needs to choose right characters for her career. Ramya Krishna presence was alright.  Telangana Sakuntala was apt to the role. Sakshi Shivanand and Naga Babu’s guest appearance were fine. Jayaprakash Reddy, Jyothi, Bhuvaneshwari, Tarzan did their justice to roles. The other actors were just to fill the screen space.

Technicalities:

The story was a good concept but the director miserably failed in bringing it to the big-screens. He made it with a routine screenplay and poor presentation. There is nothing special to be talked of technicalities. Editing could have been much better.  Chakri’s songs were not appealing and the background music too was just okay.

Verdict:
‘Ranga The Donga’ has nothing unique to offer. All it had was mass masala elements with lots of action and glamorous dances. Better to skip it.
