Bollywood may boast of superhit films and industry experts cite Rs 100crs –Rs 200 crs high budget hits and even rave about their heroines showering praises on their beauty, acting skills and professional talents. However hard they may harp in public about their stars and film makers in private they agree in unison that they can not score over their southern counterparts when it comes to creativity, technical expertise and even acting talent.
When ever Bollywood top stars featured in great hits like ‘Devdas’ old and also some of the films which featured super stars like MGR, NTR,ANR and Sivaji Ganessan, they confessed that they couldn’t even reprise 10% of what the southern greats had shown in the film. However southern film makers always settle for nothing less than Bollywood beauties for their film cast. One wonders what was the reason behind that and in what way southern sizzlers lag behind their Mumbai counter parts.
Those who analysed southern stars like Ileana, Kajal, Tamanna, Asin, Shruti Hasan, Tapsee, who featured in bollywood flicks and how they conduct themselves then one gets the answer. Many of them look conservative and try to give explanations to the gossips and rumors that come on their name. This is unlike Bollywood hotties among whom even a new comer speak without any inhibitions about their first crush, romantic experience with their co stars. Unless southern sizzlers try to beat Mumbai mesmerisers at their own art, they will be always looked down.
